PM: Does Georgia postpone opening of its borders for tourists?

12:36 - 9.06.2020

June 9, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia is forced to stop negotiations started with some countries in connection with tourism.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Georgian press that the statement was by country's Prime Minister George Gakharia.

The PM explained this by the repeated deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the negotiating countries: "These countries offered Georgia to wait for a certain period of time. Every step taken both to fight the epidemic and to restore the economy must be considered and careful.”

Georgia is going to open its borders to foreign tourists from 1 July.
