June 9, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, Azerbaijan is numbering 17,000 students studying on a fee-based basis, whose studies are paid by the State.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Adviser to Education Minister Elnur Mammadov.

He clarified some points relating to the payment of education by the State for students from socially vulnerable groups in connection with the COVID-19 epidemic:

"This time, other categories have been added for those who pay for training expenses on a permanent basis. As early as 2020, these individuals can also apply for their education to be paid by the State. These are persons belonging to the subcategory of family members who receive targeted social assistance, persons who have lost one or both parents, legal representatives of children, first and second degree invalids."
