Salary of a civil servant exceeded AZN 1,000

June 16, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 January 2020 the number of civil servants in the country reached 29,400 people.

According to data ABC.AZ received from the State Statistics Committee, 17.3% of government employees are under the age of 30, 16.3% are 30-34, 23.8% are 35-44, 19.9% are 45-54, 21.3% are 55-64, and 1.4% are 65 years of age or older.

In 2019 the average monthly nominal salary of civil servants was AZN 1,022. This indicator grew by 28.3% against the previous year and by 5.6 times compared with 2005.
