January 19, Fineko/abc.az. Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov of Azerbaijan has made a statement following the Krakow meeting.

The FM said that negotiations on Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict lasted in Krakow for six hours.

"Initially, I had a meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and Personal Representative of OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. Afterwards with the participation of Co-Chairs and Personal Representative of OSCE Chairperson-in-Office I met with my Armenian counterpart Eduard Nalbandian. Following this FMs of Azerbaijan and Armenia had tête-à-tête meeting. After tête-à-tête meeting I again met with the OSCE MG Co-chairs and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office," the minister said.

He added that the co-chairs have put forward some creative ideas on the resolution of the conflict.

"Within the purpose to discuss those ideas, the mediators will pay a visit to the region earlier this February. In principle, the meetings were held in a positive way. The general approach is that more intensive, substantial and logical negotiations should be continued in order to achieve progress in the conflict settlement and to ensure peace and stability in the region," the minister stated.
