China has banned social networks

11:40 - 3.07.2020

July 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Chinese government has prohibited a number of popular social platforms in the territory of the country.

ABC.AZ reports that the new decision suspends operation of Youtube, Wikipedia, Netflicks, Tumblr, Instagram, Reddit and Whatsapp in China.

Besides, broadcasting of Western media outlets – the BBC, New York Times, Bloomberg, Independent, Le Monde, France 24, Dailymotion and the Economist – has been restricted in China.

It should be noted that previously India put a ban on a range of Chinese social networks (Tic TOC, Wechat, etc.). Currently, western countries are discussing the introduction of restrictions on social platforms that spread from China.
