U.S. stops financial aid to Georgia - Reason

July 8, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. can freeze 15% of assistance to Georgia in 2021.

ABC.AZ reports that this information is contained in a bill prepared by the House of Representatives Finance Committee.

The document emphasizes that in 2021 Georgia will receive assistance in the amount of $132 million. 15% of this amount was proposed to be frozen. The Committee demanded that the amount be transferred after the US Secretary of State provided Georgia with an accurate report on steps such as strengthening the fight against corruption and on Tbilisi's democratic institutions.
