Turkey re-applies some bans – breakers to be arrested

13:01 - 8.07.2020

July 8, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey has started re-applying some restrictions because of the pandemic in a range of cities and provinces.

ABC.AZ reports citing the Turkish media that the bans cover the cities of Istanbul, Ankara, Kahramanmaras, Kayseri, Malatya and Hatay.

According to the bans, holding of ceremonies for the departure of soldiers will not be allowed in these cities. The reason for applying this decision is a slight increase in the number of Covid-19 infections in these provinces. Only first-line relatives of a person who has entered military service can take part in the send-off ceremonies, which are often held in bus terminals and on the streets.

Those who do not comply with the ban will be fined and imprisoned.
