Number of livestock has increased in Agdam

July 13, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 July 2020 Agdam district numbered 42,370 heads of cattle.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the District Statistics Office, the number of cattle increased by 2.6% (compared with the relevant period of 2019), including cows and buffaloes by 0.8%.

In the first half of this year the district produced 2,339.3 tons of meat and 19,595.2 tons of milk in live weight. Compared with the same period of last year the production of meat in live weight increased by 1.1% and milk by 0.9%.

Along with the increase in the number of animals, improvement of the breed composition plays an important role in increasing the production of livestock products.
