Income of Azerbaijani population grew by 8.3%

January 23, Fineko/abc.az. Incomes of the Azerbaijani population for the past year totaled AZN 49.16 bn that is by 8.3% more than in 2016.

The State Statistics Committee informs that the prices for consumer goods and services increased by 12.9% in 2017 compared with the previous year.

"In particular, food prices grew by 16.4% and nonfood prices by 11.6%, and prices for services by 11.6%," the Committee said.

Compared with Jan-Nov 2016, the average monthly salary of the population increased by 6.2% up to 525 manats for the past 11 months of 2017. Population’s income grew by 8.3% up to AZN 49.16 bn.
