How did products without excise stamps appear in stores?

12:18 - 27.07.2020

July 27, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tax Service under the State Customs Committee and the Ministry of Economy regularly conduct control measures on the market of labeled products.

As a result, sales of products without excise taxes have been minimized, and activities of a number of smugglers stopped.

However, the stores still sell beer Heiniken, which does not have an excise stamp and was smuggled in from Georgia.

According to ABC.AZ, most often beer, imported from Georgia, is found in the wine houses. The bottles are marked with stickers in the Georgian language and excise stamps of Georgia.

Tobacco products without excise stamps are also sold under name Duty free.

We hope that the relevant structures will take control of the case as soon as possible and fix the problem.
