September 14, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 August 2020, the rate of salaried employees in the Azerbaijani economy increased by 67,400 people or 4.2% (versus with the same period of 2019) up to 1,681,200 people.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 909,800 of them worked in the public sector and 771,400 in the non-state sector of the economy.

19.5% of employees were employed in education, 18.2% in trade, vehicle repair, 13.1% in industry, 8.4% in construction, 8.1% in health and social services, 6.6% in public administration and defense; social security, 4.5% in transport and warehousing, 3.4% in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 3.4% in professional, scientific and technical activities, 1.7% in financial and insurance activities, 13.1% in other areas of the economy.
