September 28, Fineko/abc.az. Yesterday morning at 6:00 am, Armenian armed units attacked our villages. After the provocation of Armenia, a counter-offensive operation was carried out.

ABC.AZ informs that this was stated at a briefing for representatives of the diplomatic corps in Azerbaijan by Hikmet Hajiyev, the Assistant to the President and the head of the Foreign Policy Department at the Presidential Administration.

He noted that Armenia, having got into a difficult situation, takes aim at the civilian population: "In the military doctrine of Armenia, the civilian population is indicated as a target. We saw this in the 1990s and in the April 2016 battles. Yesterday, a family and its young members were killed in a village in the Naftalan district, located at a considerable distance from the front line. This morning, heavy artillery fire was opened in the direction of Terter district, and a carpet factory was destroyed in Terter. There was an attempt to hit the police department in Terter district. 14 Azerbaijani civilians were injured."
