UK Parliament has condemned Armenian occupation – A relevant petition signed

12:01 - 7.10.2020

October 7, Fineko/abc.az. The UK Parliament (House of Representatives) has signed a petition condemning the Armenian forces.

ABC.AZ reports that the document is posted on the official website of the UK Parliament, noting that the Armenians should immediately leave the occupied lands.

The petition says that increasingly growing Armenia's aggression, which began on 27 September 2020, further aggravates the armed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, caused by Armenia's illegal military control over the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and seven adjacent regions, which resulted in the death of over 30,000 people and more than 1 million refugees. At that, with the involvement of Turkey and Russia, there is a threat of conflict expansion.

The UK Parliament calls on the British government to condemn Armenia for gross violation of the ceasefire reached in 1994, and for using large-caliber weapons, mortars and artillery in an intensive attack on the positions of the armed forces and civilians of Azerbaijan, and to demand the withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, as indicated in the UN Security Council resolutions adopted in 1993.
