October 14, Fineko/abc.az. “We certainly see Turkey in the role of a Minsk Group co-chair and welcome it," President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview for Turkish TV channel Haber Turk.

“Naturally, we see a fraternal Turkey in this process. We welcome this. We know that the Minsk Group was created by the OSCE, and the OSCE has its own rules. There are probably legal procedures for changing the composition of this group,” he said.

ABC.AZ informs that this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in an interview for Haber Turk.

"So I said, it doesn't matter whether it is de jure or de facto, the chief thing is that Turkey would be at this negotiating table. Turkey is already at the negotiating table. Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin have met many times over the years and this issue has been on the agenda of Turkey and Russia for many years, and I know this from the words of the presidents of Turkey and Russia. Turkey is still present in an even larger scale,” the Azerbaijani leader stressed.
