Inflow of tourists to Azerbaijan increased by 17% for January

February 7, Fineko/abc.az. More than 185,000 foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan last month.

The Ministry of Culture & Tourism of Azerbaijan informs that the growth of tourist inflow in January made up 17%.

"Basically citizens of Russia (59,990 people), Georgia (45,679), Turkey (24,276), Iran (13,437), and UAE (8,265) came to Azerbaijan in January, and their total number made up 82% of all foreign tourists who visited the country for last month," the Ministry said in a statement.

According to the Ministry, 130,118 foreigners or 69.9% of those who visited Azerbaijan as tourists in January were men and 55,795 foreigners or 30.1% were women.
