Central Bank sold foreign currency for $64.1 million to banks at a currency auction

October 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has conducted a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The CBA reports that $64.1 million was sold to banks at today’s currency auction.

"Demand from banks at the auction amounted to $64.1 million and was fully met," the CBA said.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat to the US dollar was AZN 1.70.
