November 4, Fineko/abc.az. The mechanism of agricultural insurance is the most important element in order to ensure the sustainable development of the agricultural sector. The legislative framework has been formed, relevant decisions made, and the Agricultural Insurance Fund established with the purpose to create such a mechanism.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Agriculture Minister Inam Kerimov at an event dedicated to the launch of the first agricultural insurance mechanism in Azerbaijan.

According to the minister, the AIF was formed on the basis of the principle of public-private cooperation: "It is gratifying that the agricultural insurance system in Azerbaijan was formed with the support of Turkish organization TARSIM (agricultural insurance system) as precisely the Turkish model is one of the world’s most successful agricultural insurance mechanisms."
