Today is Day of TV & Radio Broadcasting in Azerbaijan

November 6, Fineko/abc.az. Today, Azerbaijan is celebrating the Day of Television & Radio.

ABC.AZ reports that a radio program was broadcast for the first time in our country with the commissioning of the radio station in Baku on 6 November 1926.

The first 180 m TV tower made of steel blocks was built in Baku in 1956. On 14 February 1956 the AzTV1 program aired for the first time in black and white on a TV transmitter.

On 28 June 1957 the first live broadcast from the Republican Stadium was broadcast on mobile television.
