New bill to restrict living in Georgia for foreigners

December 18, Fineko/abc.az. Foreign citizens will have limited access to residence permits in Georgia in compliance with the new bill on the legal status of foreigners and stateless persons.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the bill drafted at government’s initiative and submitted to the parliament, the opportunity to obtain a permit will be granted only to the spouse of a foreigner or a stateless person, a minor child and his parents.

At the same time, persons who are citizens of countries that have the right to visa-free entry and stay in Georgia will also be able to obtain a residence permit.
