December 28, Fineko/abc.az. The application of compulsory health insurance will begin in Azerbaijan next year.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Mandatory Health Insurance Agency that with the use of compulsory health insurance the Azerbaijani citizens will be able to use the services of a family doctor.

With the exception of emergency medical care, a citizen should first contact a family doctor about a health problem that has appeared. The process of choosing a family doctor and registration in a state medical institution of primary health care is carried out on the basis of “The procedure for sending insured persons to the state medical institution of primary health care”. The insured is free to choose or change the family doctor.
