January 7, Fineko/abc.az. The forecast of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan for 2021 on some indicators has been published.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Accounting Chamber’s conclusion on SOFAZ draft budget 2021, the yield of investment instruments placed by the Fund this year will be about 1%.

The review says that the cause of that may be the expectation that the yield of the debt portfolio and money markets in global financial markets in 2021 will be lower than last year.

In particular, the main cause is the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the global economy and the fact that, as part of countries’ soft monetary policies to support the economy the central banks of most countries have lowered interest rates over the past year, as well as the uncertainty observed in financial markets.

As a result, the yield levels in the high-investment-grade fixed-income securities market are even lower, as demand for lower-risk, higher-liquidity bonds increases.
