Central Bank sold $70.6 million to banks at a currency auction

January 7, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has held a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The CBA reports that $70.6 million was sold to banks at the currency auction on 7 January.

"Demand from banks at the auction amounted to $70.6 million and was fully met," the CBA said in a statement.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate was AZN 1.70 to the US dollar.
