January 7, Fineko/abc.az. Along with Turkey, we are waiting for vaccines to vaccinate 10% of the population from GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines). A relevant agreement was signed.

ABC.AZ reports that Yagut Garayeva, the head of the Department of Disease Prevention & Control of the Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Divisions (TƏBIB), informed about this.

She noted that there is still no information about what kind of vaccine GAVI will deliver to Azerbaijan: "We can only express our desire to them about what kind of vaccine we want. Naturally, there may be different vaccines, i.e. we are waiting for the import of vaccines from a number of countries. It's only a matter of time and availability. For example, we expect a vaccine from GAVI by April. Until then, the winter season will end. Because of the loss of time, we want to get into the ranks of countries where vaccination began. Perhaps by next year, several vaccines will be presented in connection with the virus."
