Central Bank sold $142.2 million to banks at a foreign exchange auction

January 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan held a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The CBA informs that $142.2 million was sold to banks at the auction on 12 January.

"Demand from banks at the auction amounted to $142.2 million and was fully met," the CBA said in a statement.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate was AZN 1.70 to the US dollar.
