Georgia’s tourism income has fallen sharply

January 19, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia's tourism earnings amounted to $541.7 million for 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the analytical report of the National Bank of Georgia.

According to the document, this amount decreased by 84% year-on-year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The bulk of revenue – $427.7 million – accounted for the 1st quarter of 2020.

Last year, the highest income from tourism was recorded in January ($193.4 million) and the lowest one in April ($8.5 million).
