Mandatory Health Insurance Agency has suffered a loss

January 29, Fineko/abc.az. The State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance has a statement in connection with the audit conclusion of the third-party auditor on the consolidated financial statements.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the statement, Agency’s main operating income consist of the accumulated contributions to mandatory medical insurance, and as in 2019 the collection of insurance premiums was not carried out and the funds received by the State Budget were not recognized as income, a loss was registered on the Agency in 2019 on the basis of the audit report.

And the recognized income in 2019 amounted only to AZN 1.87 million, including income from medical services that are not covered by the basic envelope (the exclusion envelope), and funds received from contributions. According to the report, in 2019 the cost of medical services rendered by citizens of the pilot territories reached AZN 35.776 millio, and the general and administrative expenses of the agency – AZN 22.96 million.
