February 1, Fineko/abc.az. Modernization and reconstruction work is underway at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery under SOCAR.

ABC.AZ was informed at SOCAR that as part of the upgrade of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, SOCAR has carried out preparatory (drilling, reloading) work on the site in the amount of 1,471,000 cu m, 124,000 tons of concreting, 21,000 tons of metal structures; 526,000 inches of pipes have been welded; 445,000 km of cable lines laid; 458 equipment facilities installed; a total of 23 million man-hours of work completed so far.

This exceeds the amount of work spent on the construction of the recently-built complex SOCAR Polymer or urea plant, and indicates the scale of the upgrade of the refinery.
