Oil prices keep on growing, and Brent is at $59.24 a barrel

February 5, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades continue rising in Friday’s trading, reaching the highest levels this year.

By 9:36 am, in the trading at the London ICE Futures Exchange the price of April’s Brent crude oil futures increaesd by $0.40 (0.68%) up to $59.24 per barrel. At the end of trading on 4 February the Brent futures for April rose in price by $0.38 (0.65%) up to $58.84 per barrel.

By 9:36 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of March’s WTI oil futures grew by $0.47 (0.84%) up to $56.70 per barrel. At the end of trading on 4 February the WTI futures for March rose by $0.54 (0.97%) up to $56.23 per barrel.

Brent crude finished in plus for the 5th consecutive trading session, while WTI continued growing for the 4th consecutive session. At the end of this week, both contracts may show the maximum weekly growth since October.
