Minimum wage more than doubled – up to 250 manats over past 3 years

February 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past three years the minimum wage in Azerbaijan has increased more than twice, up to 250 manats, and the average salary has increased by 66%, reaching 343 manats, ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection.

The regular growth in the number of employment contracts and wages led to a significant increase in the wage fund.

"In 2018-20, the monthly wage fund grew by 81%. Growth made up 87% in the private sector and 76% in the public sector. In particular, in 2020, the monthly salary fund increased by 12%," the Ministry said in a statement.
