Generation of electricity from wind has grown

February 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan generated 2.225 bn kWh of electricity for January 2021 (1.8% more against January 2020), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Of them, 2.068 bn kWh was generated by thermal power plants.

Wind power generation increased by 25% compared with January 2020 up to 9.0 million kWh, while solar power generation declined by 9.1% to 2.0 million kWh.
