Rate of foreigners staying in hotels in Azerbaijan

February 18, Fineko/abc.az. The State Statistics Committee has published statistical data on the hotel system last year.

ABC.AZ reports that the number of foreigners and stateless persons living in hotels totaled 416,700 ones in 2020 (decline of 5.4-fold versus 2019 and 41.7% of the total number of overnight stays).

14.4% of the hotel stays accounted for Russian citizens, 9.2% for citizens of Saudi Arabia, 9.2% for UAE, and 8.7% for Turkey.

Hotels’ earnings decreased by 3.9 times (versus 2019) to AZN 116.8 million for 2020.
