President: Turkey and Azerbaijan turned into official enemies in Armenia

17:11 - 26.02.2021

February 26, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey closed its borders with Armenia in 1993, that is, after Kelbajar came under occupation. Until then, the borders were open. Turkey was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Armenia. Unfortunately, the anti-Turkish propaganda in Armenia was extremely strong.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the above-said statement at a press conference.

The head of state noted that the closure of the borders is a symbol of brotherhood.

"This process continues today. Turkophobia became the official ideology, and Turkey and Azerbaijan became official enemies. Now the conflict is over. Before the war, the Armenian president said that the Treaty of Sevres should be revised. The Armenian Constitution has territorial claims against Turkey," President Aliyev emphasized.
