Central Bank sold $54.7 million to banks at a currency auction

March 18, Fineko/abc.az.  The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has held a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

According to the CBA, $54.7 million was sold to banks at the currency auction on March 18.

"The demand from banks at the auction amounted to $54.7 million and was fully met," the CBA said in a statement.

At the end of the auction the weighted average exchange rate was AZN 1.70 to the US dollar.
