Oil declines in cost, and Brent is at $64.22 a barrel

April 5, Fineko/abc.az. Benchmark oil prices are declining in Monday’s trading.

By 9:26 am, in the trading at the London ICE Futures Exchange the June’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.64 (0.99%) to $64.22 per barrel. Following the trading on 1 April the price of Brent crude oil futures for June rose by $2.12 (3.43%) up to $64.86 per barrel.

By 9:26 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of May’s WTI oil futures fell by $0.57 (0.93%) to $60.88 per barrel. At the end of trading on 1 April the WTI futures for May grew by $2.29 (3.87%) up to $61.45 per barrel.

The markets were closed on 2 April for the Easter holidays.

Last week, the OPEC+ countries agreed to increase the oil production in May by 350,000 b/d, by the same amount in June, and by 440,000 b/d in July.
