WB has summed up results of another project in Azerbaijan

April 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Third Trunk Road Project, approved by the World Bank in May 2010, has been completed.

ABC.AZ reports that the goal of this project was to make the Baku-Shemakha highway faster and safer, to contribute to the provision of better road services and to improve the management of the newly-created highway network.

The Bank approved a loan of $241.6 million for Azerbaijan in May 2010, and 97.4% ($235.29 million) was spent by the country by the project closing date (31 March 2021).

It should be noted that in March 2016 the WB approved the allocation of an additional loan in the amount of $140 million.
