April 7, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is to fine farmers who intentionally provide incorrect information to state bodies with the purpose to receive farm subsidies.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the proposed amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences. Relevant Article 411-2 will be added to the Code.

In accordance with Article "Violation of the procedure for subsidizing agricultural production, in case the farmer receives a subsidy after entering deliberately incorrect information in the e-agriculture database system or does not use the subsidy amount transferred to his accounts for its intended purpose, he is warned or is fined in the amount of 2 up to 4-fold damage (income) caused by an administrative offense.
