Russia plans to increase quota for tomato import from Turkey

April 8, Fineko/abc.az. Russia has proposed to increase the annual quota for the import of tomatoes from Turkey by another 50,000 tons or 20% from 250,000 tons up to 300,000 tons, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Russian government.

It should be noted that Russia imposed an embargo on Turkish tomatoes in 2015 after the political crisis between the two countries. Although the embargo was lifted in 2017, a quota of 100,000 tons was introduced, later this figure was brought to 200,000 tons, and in December last year to 250,000 tons.
