Oil prices decline, Brent is at $62.97 a barrel

April 9, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil are decreasing in Friday’s trading under pressure of growth of rate of Covid-19 cases and new lockdowns, while oil stocks are declining.

By 9:59 am, in the trading at the London ICE Futures Exchange the June’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.23 (0.36%) to $62.97 per barrel. Following the trading on 8 April the price of Brent crude oil futures for June rose by $0.04 (0.06%) up to $63.20 per barrel.

By 9:59 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of the May’s WTI oil futures declined by $0.10 (0.17%) to $59.50 per barrel. At the end of trading on 8 April the WTI futures for May decreased in price by $0.17 (0.28%) to $59.60 per barrel.
