Azerbaijan suspends heating season from today

April 15, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from today, Azeristiliktedzhizat will stop supplying heat both in Baku and in the districts of the country, ABC.AZ reports citing company’s spokesman Rafik Aliyev.

He, however, added that the heating season will last until 1 May in some mountainous and foothill areas.

The annual heating season begins on 15 November and ends on 15 April. Last year, due to the debt of AZN 18 million owed by Azeristiliktedzhizat to Azerigaz of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), there was a delay in the supply of heat to the population until 18 November.
