April 28, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Transport Agency’s chairman of board Vusal Kerimli has conducted a media conference dedicated to the results of 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that Kerimli touched upon a range of important points.

He noted that 968 buses have been replaced in Baku since 2005.

"Since this year the number of replaced buses has reached 968 (724 public and 244 private ones), and last year 119 buses were renewed (115 public and 4 private ones). The demand for buses has increased since the metro closed last year.

As a result of the measures taken, 46% of the buses in operation have been updated. For the past 5 years 1,680 shuttle buses were repaired and upgraded. In general, these buses carry more than 2 million passengers daily," Kerimli said.
