BTC carried 482 million tons of crude oil in Q1

April 29, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2021 operating expenses on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline amounted to about $41 million (a rise of 64% year-on-year).

ABC.AZ informs with reference to BP’s report that from the date of commissioning in June 2006 of the BTC pipeline (1,768 km long) until the end of Q1 of 2021 the pipeline transported more than 482 million tons (3.62 bn barrels of crude oil and 4,729 tankers were sent from Ceyhan to the world markets.

In Q1 of 2021 BTC exported 6.7 million tons (-13%) of crude oil and condensate and loaded 70 tankers (-7.9%) in Ceyhan.
