Petkim's profit exceeds 5 bn liras for Jan-Mar


May 7, Fineko/abc.az. Petkim's production capacity activity has reached 92%, while many petrochemical companies have reduced or even stopped production due to shortage of raw materials.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the company that Petkim's earnings amounted to 5.03 bn liras for Jan-Mar 2021.

Petkim's gross profit for the reporting period was 1.219 bn liras, while operating income was 1.179 bn liras. Company's pre-tax profit amounted to 1.14 bn liras over Jan-Mar.

At the end of March 2021 Petkim's assets totaled 22.506 bn liras. At that, short-term assets reached 14.29 bn liras and long-term 8.477 bn liras.

Petkim, a subsidiary of the largest foreign direct investor SOCAR Turkey, despite the negative consequences of the pandemic, was able to improve its financial performance in the 1st quarter of 2021.

Despite disruptions in global production and the global supply chain, Petkim keeps uninterruptedly the production process, supplying the Turkish domestic market with the necessary products.

The share of the domestic market in the company's sales made up 66%.
