May 20, Fineko/abc.az. The question of vaccination is often misunderstood, ABC.AZ reports citing TƏBIB department head Yagut Garayeva as saying this in a broadcast on TV channel AzTV.

The TƏBIB official representative said that there is an opinion among the population that after the injection of one dose of the vaccine, there will never be an infection again.

"A person faces with a live virus, and his body reacts to a live virus. If, after encountering a live virus, I have a chance of catching it again, then of course it makes sense that the immunological protection it creates when I encounter a weakened virus also weakens after a while. The main goal of vaccination is to prevent complications of the disease and reduce mortality," Garayeva emphasized.
