Production to grow in coming years – a company engaged in gold mining in Azerbaijan published a report

12:52 - 21.05.2021

May 21, Fineko/abc.az. British company Anglo-Asian Mining Plc, which is engaged in the extraction of gold, silver and copper in Azerbaijan, has published a production forecast for 2021.

ABC.AZ informs that in 2021 the company will report on the production it has carried out only from its existing mines.

It was noted that the company forecasts a decline in production mainly due to the depletion of the Ugur field in 2020.

For this reason, the company has set a target of producing gold equivalent in the amount of 64,000-72,000 ounces for 2021. This includes gold production volumes up to 54,000 ounces and copper production volumes from 2,500 up to 2,800 tons.

The company believes that the ongoing exploration program and other initiatives will lead to increased production in the coming years. It is reported that this forecast for 2021 does not include production at the restored contract fields. Although the situation is currently unclear, the company has the potential to produce ore in small quantities at the Vezhnali field.
