Rate of employees at banks has increased – banking sector revives

June 1, Fineko/abc.az. The domestic banking sector in Azerbaijan is slowly beginning to recover.

ABC.AZ reports that along with the growth of bank branches, there is an increase in the quantity of employees of the bank.

So, as of 1 May of this year the country's banks numbered about 18,893 employees.

From the beginning of the year to the present day, there has been an increase in the number of bank employees by about 200 people.

With the termination of activities of four banks in 2020, the rate of bank employees also decreased, about 1,500 bank employees lost their jobs – the rate of employees decreased from 19,846 to 18,400 people.
