Cargo transportation via Aktau–Baku line has increased

June 2, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of the period of Jan-May 2021 cargo transportation via Aktau-Baku feeder line increased by 5.4% versus the same term of 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that Berik Bisaliyev, deputy general director for business development at Kazmortansflot (national sea carrier of Kazakhstan), said this in his speech at the virtual session "Improving the competitiveness of international rail transport within TRACECA".

According to Bisaliyev, for the reported term 6,153 containers of TEU (20-foot equivalent) were transported, of which 4,723 units were delivered in the direction of Aktau-Baku and 1,430 units in the opposite direction of Baku-Aktau.
