June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Construction of new plants is envisaged in Azerbaijan with the purpose to eliminate the dependence on changes in prices at the international fuel market, ABC.AZ reports citing MP Nagif Gamzayev.

The MP noted that according to the information he has, as a result of the modernization of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery of the Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR), the production of AI-95 and Premium gasoline brands is possible until 2022.

"This will free us from dependence on the international fuel market, and the state will also be able to regulate this brand of gasoline. In general, it should be taken into account that currently in Azerbaijan, compared with neighboring countries, prices for gasoline of this brand are still low. But in any case, we must build plants for the production of this particular brand of gasoline in order to completely eliminate this shortage and maintain a stable price. You know that in fact, gasoline brands AI-95 and Premium are more often used by drivers of expensive cars. However, this should not have a big impact on the transportation of goods and the growth of agricultural products. And in this regard, we must try, especially the relevant structures, to prevent artificial price increases under the pretext of this. We must try to ensure that each of us is active in this issue," the MP emphasized.
