Oil keeps on falling, and Brent is at $72.54 a barrel

June 18, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades continue to decline in Friday’s trading after significant decrease the day before.

Pressure on the oil market is exerted by the strengthening of the dollar on the results of the meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve System.

By 9:25 am, in the trading at the London ICE Futures Exchange the August’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.54 (0.74%) to $72.54 per barrel. At the end of the trading on 17 June the price of Brent futures for August decreased by $1.31 (1.76%) to $73.08 per barrel.

By 9:25 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of July’s WTI oil futures fell by $0.46 (0.65%) to $70.58 per barrel. At the end of the trading on 17 June the price of WTI futures for July fell by $1.11 (1.54%) to $71.04 per barrel.
