June 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AQTA) continues taking measures to ensure food safety and protect the rights of consumers in the country within the framework of legal requirements.

During the inspections carried out by AQTA, it was found out that butter under trademarks ‘Karavanka’ (batch of products from 5 April 2021) and ‘Violetta’ (batch of products from 1 December 2020), produced by order of GZM Group LLC by an individual Mustafa Ramig (batch of products from 3 February 2021) and Allbuy LLC, does not meet the requirements of technical regulations in the field of food safety.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to AQTA that product samples were subjected to testing in the relevant labs of the Azerbaijan Institute of Food Safety (AQTI) in order to determine compliance with the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts in the field of food safety.

Contrary to the manufacturer's claim that the product contains 82.5% unsalted oil, it was found that the product contains vegetable oil.
