Number of signed life insurance contracts reduced

June 23, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2021 the number of contracts for voluntary types of insurance decreased by 21.3% to 248,696 ones.

ABC.AZ reports that 180,395 life insurance contracts were concluded for Q1 of this year (decrease of 4.2%) and 68,301 non-life insurance contracts (decrease of 46.3%). Most of the contracts (39,146 ones) were concluded for property insurance.

Over Jan-Mar the total insurance premiums of insurers and reinsurers in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 248.99 million (3.4% more against Jan-Mar 2020).
